MAGIECHEM® 142 is a high-solids, aliphatic polyester polyurethane top coat specifically formulated for use as a finishing layer within MAGIEFLOORᴹᴰ multi-layer flooring systems. It provides outstanding resistance to UV radiation, weathering, corrosive environments, and pedestrian traffic while preserving gloss and color under severe climatic exposure. Applied at a thickness of 4–5 mils wet film thickness (102–127 µm WFT), it forms a continuous, seamless protective surface with uniform appearance. Thanks to its cross-linked urethane chemistry and optimized surface tension modification, MAGIECHEM® 142 ensures homogeneous flow, seamless overlapping, and flawless appearance—even with matte finishes, eliminating roller marks. The product combines a long working time with rapid cure, allowing efficient installation even under variable site conditions. MAGIECHEM® 142 exhibits high resistance to ultraviolet radiation, weathering, moisture, abrasion, and chemical exposure. The product preserves the color and gloss of underlying epoxy, quartz, or vinyl flake systems, even under long-term environmental stress. It is available in clear and pigmented versions (gloss, satin, or matte), as well as specialized formulations such as MAGIECHEM® 142 AG for anti-graffiti, self-cleaning, and stain-resistant applications. When combined with non-slip additives such as MAGIECHEM 2550®, MAGIECHEM® 142 enhances surface safety in areas requiring slip resistance.
